LACET works at three levels. What separates them is how much time you're able to give. Find the one that fits where you are right now.
Committed members who meet regularly to guide the collaborative: from planning webinars, developing resources, to deciding where LACET goes next. This is the working operations of the organization, and it asks for consistent, active participation. AY26-27 Steering Committee consists of the founding members.
A monthly conversation among people leading AI efforts on their own campuses through formal appointments, job descriptions, and/or service allocations. It's a standing space to compare notes with colleagues at similar institutions - to say "we tried this and it didn't work," or "I don't know how to raise this with my VP," and hear from people who've been there. Meetings are semi-structured. The commitment is showing up and contributing when your schedule allows.
Attend webinars and events when a topic is relevant and your schedule allows. No formal commitment, no attendance expectations, nothing to produce. This is the easiest way to stay connected to the work and hear about what's coming. Requires joining mailing list to be informed.
